The Skeleton Man

I seldom watch the tele but it seems like every time I do watch it, I stumble upon a fascinating program. Such was the case a week ago when I stumbled upon the story of 'The Skeleton Man' on ESPN's E:60. At first glance, the impression is that very few people can relate to Seun but after hearing his story it becomes apparent that this is a young man who is writing a playbook on how to  "Never let reality get in the way of your dreams." Once in a while, i think it's important to let oneself be inspired by the the journey of others. And maybe the prism through which one views life can be positively affected. As he says,  "when i see the sun each day, i think about the potential that lies ahead." After all, Seun is just an immigrant with a dream, overcoming obstacles as he gets there.... is there anything more American than that?

I'm a fan of anyone who pursues his dream no matter the cost. I hope he makes it to Sochi 2014! If you wish to follow his journey to the Olympics in Sochi, here's his blog.
